Another loss for ALEC

Under Pressure, Michigan Gov. Snyder Vetoes Voter Suppression Bills
The Republican-backed, corporate-funded war on voting rights took a hit today in Michigan. Governor Rick Snyder vetoed three voter suppression bills that had been passed by both houses of the legislature. His justification? He didn’t want to disenfranchise, even accidentally, any Michigan citizens.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

My opinion – The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)  knows they are screwed on the Voter ID issue (thanks to the work and persistent of activists like you!!!)  and Snyder just figured he wouldn’t lose anything by vetoing it.

He was under any pressure ???? – hell the whole state of Michigan hates his ALEC-esque guts.

The only thing he hasn’t privatized is the office of the governor – which would probably be a relief for the state.
