AGAIN – House Burns while firefighters watch

IMHO -
Having this happen once is an - oops.
Having it happen a second time - is a evidence of failed policy and incompetent government officials.l
This is what less government looks like.

More than a year ago, ThinkProgress reported about a tragic case of a firefighters in Obion County, Tennessee standing by and watching as a family’s home burned to the ground because the family failed to pay a special fee the county requested in exchange for the fire service.

Now, this tragedy has once again repeated itself. Tennessee homeowner Vicky Bell was forced to watch her family’s home burn to the ground after they arrived at the scene of her burning house and did nothing because they had failed to pay a $75 subscription fee:
Basically, when you support less government – when you support god Grover Norquist’s “No New Taxes” and  you support his fallacy that we shouldn’t collect enough taxes to support services for the public you are saying:

  • To the poor – if you can’t pay a subscription fee - what little you own isn’t worth it – let it burn.
  • To seniors on a limited budget – – if you can’t pay a subscription fee - what you own isn’t worth it – let it burn.
  • To the unemployed– if you can’t pay a subscription fee - what you own isn’t worth it – let it burn.

– If you can’t pay a subscription fee
 – what you own – doesn’t matter

– If you can’t pay a subscription fee
 – You don’t matter!

If you can’t get out of your burning home
– DIE – your life isn't worth $75.00.

That's the unwritten Republican - "No New Taxes" party platform.

McCain (Republican): 66.7%
Obama (Democratic): 32.4%

Bush/Cheney (Republican): 58.1%
Kerry/Edwards (Democratic): 41.0%

(In addition to collecting money for this family – the people of Obion County should be collecting enough money to get these “No New Taxes” assholes out of government)  Here's a list of the Obion County GOP in office - they need to be REMOVED from office.
